The Edwardian renovation and extension to this Hawthorn residence was substantial and involved total internal upgrade with major extensions to the Family/ Meals and Bedroom areas.
In line with the client brief, all design details were carefully
matched with the original. Extensive use of parquetry, granite,
original cornices and period tiles were used throughout. All
new windows were replicated to match existing as closely as
possible. Gable details and colours were also replicated to
ensure a seamless and undetectable renovation.
This original house was built in the 1950s and the brief
was to add a first floor addition incorporating a sitting
room, bedroom and ensuite. The brief was to ensure that the
addition remained in sympathy with the original house and
to ensure that the addition was seamless.
